God-breathed Solutions to Man-made Problems

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

In our theme verse, Paul tells Timothy, “All Scripture is inspired by God, and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.” The word translated “inspired by God” is the Greek word theopneustos, a compound word literally meaning “God-breathed.” This is a powerful reminder to us that the Bible was written by God Himself, and it is because of this that we can have confidence that the Scriptures are sufficient to provide all that we need for life and godliness. Therefore, whether we find ourselves counseling or in need of counsel ourselves, we need not go any further than God’s Word.
